Android Smartphones Can Finally Use Olloclip's Adjustable Lenses

BERLIN—iPhones have always benefited from the widest range of unique accessories on the market place. After all, Apple phones are both widespread and fairly standardized across their dissimilar models.

Perhaps that's why Olloclip has only released adaptable lens accessories for Apple devices. We previously reviewed the Olloclip Mobile Photography Box Prepare for the iPhone Ten, which includes a set of wide-bending and macro lenses, along with a stand. Similar lens systems are bachelor for the iPhone 8, iPhone seven, and even the iPhone SE, but no Android devices are supported.

Olloclip 2 That'south fix to change today here at IFA with the debut of the Multi-Device Clip, which brings Android compatibility to Olloclip's Connect X lenses.

"We designed the Multi-Device Clip to serve the greatest range of smartphones, including those with a screen protector or thin case, for ultimate versatility," said Todd Williams, global sales manager at Olloclip.

As the proper name suggests, the Multi-Device Clip incorporates an expandable prune that sits flush with the camera and lens, allowing yous to employ the Connect X interchangeable lenses. It can piece of work with screen protectors and smartphone cases up to 12mm in combined thickness.

All the Connect 10 lenses are supported. This includes the super-wide angle 120-degree lens, the ultra-broad 155-degree lens, and the telephoto 2X optical zoom lens. We don't have a full list of all the Android devices the Multi-Device Clip will work with yet, but product photos testify it working with high-end Android smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S9, OnePlus vi, and Google Pixel 2.

The Multi-Device Clip volition be available online starting in mid-September. Information technology can be purchased and paired with any one of the same Connect X lenses for $59.99. Additional Connect X lenses are available for $44.99. The clip can too be purchased standalone for those who already ain Connect X lenses, though pricing hasn't been specified still.
